Places to go for vacation that’s beachy?
azn_butterfly2124 asked:
My husband and I are wanting to go on Vacation to a place like Kauai, Hawaii or Virgin Islands. We have already been to Kauai and are wanting a few other suggestions on other similar places that are not very populated (as in not a lot of tourists, overcrowded beaches, etc) and for about the same price in July. Please don’t suggest Mexico. Thanks.

Doesn’t quite answer your question… but… why not take a vacation and not sit on the beach the whole time? You’re cheating yourself if you go on a vacation to do nothing but sit in the sun. Hell I could do that everyday if I wanted to. I would suggest an interesting place to travel that you’d never think of traveling. It would be an awakening experience and you’d never forget it. Sitting on the beach is easy to forget.

If you want to stay near North America, try Costa Rica. The Caribbean coast isn’t really built up. Belize is also great and not too touristy. In the Caribbean, I love Tortola in the British Virgin Islands - not built up or too touristy. You can also try Virgin Gorda which is even less touristy and gorgeous.
In Europe I would recommend Croatia. There are so many islands that you can find some that aren’t too touristy.
If you want to go further and really want a desert island experience, I’d suggest Malaysia, especiallly the islands off the Northeast Coast - Perhentian Islands, Redang, etc. It might cost you more to get there, but once you are there it’s incredibly cheap. You can get a basic hut on the beach in the Perhentians for about US$10/night, or pay $60/night for an airconditioned bungalow. Food is amazing, people are nice and it’s really gorgeous for snorkeling and scuba.
